Your '%' win rate can be a strong indicator of the overall health of your submissions process.

At a 20% industry average win rate (that is 1 in 5 submissions) if you are below this it is a strong indicator of the following:

- you are using weak leads with no substantial relationship building prior to tendering
- tendering for too many projects and not sticking with your niche sectors and price point (it is too competitive for you to be able to price or show experience competitively)
- need to refresh tender submissions approach to appear more professional
- need a stronger client focus instead of self focus and ongoing training for staff (they win your work and help form the future outlook of your company, why not invest?)
